About the Origins

of Plaza Gourmet

In 1989, Pat Kelly opened Plaza Gourmet Delicatessen in San Francisco, vying to serve the freshest and best quality sandwiches and meats. In 1995, he moved his shop to Foster City, where it has since, celebrated its 25th anniversary. Since its inception, Plaza Gourmet has kept its promise to serve the best-quality ingredients. All the meats are cooked in-house and the bread is delivered daily, seven days a week. This mom-and-pop shop continuously strives to provide for the community, sponsoring little league baseball and soccer teams. Today, it has become a community staple, gathering people from all around the city to grab a bite to eat with friends and family.

About the Owner

What's cookin'? I’m Pat Kelly, the grumpy lookin’ but fun-lovin’ owner of Plaza Gourmet Delicatessen. I was born and raised in the Bay Area, attending Junipero Serra High School and San Jose State University where I played baseball and studied business. Throughout college, I enjoyed working at a local delicatessen, and in 1989, I opened my own in San Francisco. At Plaza Gourmet, we pride ourselves in having the best and freshest ingredients, creating a friendly and community-oriented environment, and catering to your needs. I will always serve you my very best.
